Jayla Ezidore shares passion for engineering & dance – L’Observateur

EDGARD — West St. John freshman Jayla Ezidore is multi-gifted, qualified in the two the STEM subject and executing arts. As she explores her passions during her superior faculty years, she envisions a long run in possibly engineering or dance.

Ezidore identified a like for engineering when she joined robotics at West St. John Elementary. The LEGO Mindstorms software program and school competitions opened her eyes to the chances that exist in laptop engineering.

“I want to do the job on coding and programming,” Ezidore stated. “Since I joined robotics, that’s what has fascinated me. I was in several STEM golf equipment more than the summer months to find out extra about how to pursue my engineering profession and how to get scholarships out of it.”

West St. John junior Skylar Edwards was impressed by Ezidore’s talent just after observing her dance in a parade. Just as remarkable is her educational ability, recognized by even the upperclassmen on campus.

“Her popularity precedes her,” Edwards explained. “You often heard even from the elementary faculty that Jayla is one more star university student.”

Ezidore’s position as a star pupil was solidified when she was honored by Principal Claude Hill in the course of a the latest St. John the Baptist Parish College Board conference. Hill shared that Ezidore is a leader among her peers. She’s major about her schooling, obtaining created all ‘A’s this college calendar year irrespective of the disruption of Hurricane Ida.

Ezidore was acknowledged as the eighth grade student of the calendar year for the 2020-2021 university yr, and she will possible be a strong contender for the recognition throughout her senior calendar year. “My mother often advised me that when she was escalating up, she didn’t have anyone to force her to her limits. She usually needed me to get to my fullest likely. She inspires me, and she constantly tells me that if I want some thing, go get it,” Ezidore explained.
