Ocean Arts Competition uses art and science to rejoice the sea

SpectorDance hosts its second yearly Monterey Ocean Arts Pageant Saturday from 1-4 p.m. at the Monterey Museum of Art. The occasion will feature performances and visible art shows from around 180 nearby youth artists. Pageant-goers can also master about science and make their possess art with regional scientific companies. Talks from researchers and absolutely free admission to the Monterey Museum of Art will round out the afternoon.

Fran Spector Atkins, who established the pageant, commenced using dance to address social issues about 25 a long time ago.
